Salary Range:
Associate Level License (LPA, LPCA, CSW, AMFT): $45,833 – $51,562
Independent Level License (LPP, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT): $54,166 – $60,937
The School-Based Therapist provides psychotherapy services to individuals referred for substance use or emotional challenges within a school setting. The therapist may work with individuals, families, or groups and must hold an independent license or be under supervision to practice independently. The role requires maintaining a client caseload, completing accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being.
Licensed Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, Psychiatric Certified-Registered Nurse, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, or Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Must comply with Kentucky Administrative Regulations and continuing education requirements for the respective licensing board.
Psychiatric Mental Health Accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center preferred but not required.
Compliance with all supervision requirements as per licensing board.
Provide psychotherapy to individuals with substance use or emotional issues.
Work independently or under supervision to ensure high-quality care.
Conduct therapy with individuals, families, or groups as needed.
Adhere to all Pathways policies and procedures.
Maintain an active caseload with timely and accurate clinical documentation, including:
Diagnostic Screening Assessment
Health Assessment (initial and annual)
Bio-Psychosocial Assessment (initial and annual)
Treatment Plan and Service Plan Reviews
Continuing Care Plans
Termination Summaries
Participate in staffing, case conferences, and consultations.
Fulfill other duties as outlined in the current job description.
Experience in behavioral health settings preferred.
Proficient in electronic health records and other digital tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
