Provides and documents direct clinical services to children and families, primarily through individual, group and family therapy. Provides clinical guidance and review to direct care staff.

JOB DUTIES:
The staff member must demonstrate knowledge of:
- Individual, group and family counseling and dynamics.
- Clinical psychological theory, signs, symptoms and interventions.
- Locating, coordinating and accessing appropriate services and entitlements for client.
- Formulation of treatment plans, ability to monitor progress, and ability to modify plans.
- Current policies and procedures of the agency and professional standards.
The staff member must demonstrate skills in:
- Assessing child and adolescent treatment needs, crisis intervention and clinical services.
- Documenting interventions, building and maintaining therapeutic rapport with assigned clients.
- Individual, family and group therapy techniques.
- Presenting information (verbal and non-verbal) or responding to questions from clients, managers, therapists and other constituents.
- Time management and program development.
Essential Functions:
Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides individual, group and family therapy.
- Attends student conferences as scheduled and meets with referral sources.
- Completes all documentation and writes or dictates progress as required by the agency's policies and procedures.
- Participates in staff meetings and/or peer consultations to plan and/or review and update client's treatment plan based upon their needs, progress and problems.
Responsibilities:
- Assists clients in meeting their treatment goals.
- Provides education through presentations for local schools, community organizations and referral sources.
- Connects clients to available community resources and acts as an advocate for clients.
- Coordinates care with internal and external providers.
- Attends team meetings and staffings as scheduled.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Maintains credentials as required by certifying/licensing body. Participates in professional development and in-service programs as required by position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Masters Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related human services field is required.
- One to three years of experience in adolescent, pre-adolescent, family therapy or a related area is required.
