EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One year of paid experience in the transportation of school children, or the completion of a school bus driver training program. Recent job-related experience within the last five years is required. EDUCATION: Verification of a High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree is required at time of hire.

A COMPLETE EDJOIN APPLICATION CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification (Possession of a valid California School Bus Driver's Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol to operate a Type 1 Transit with air brakes.)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate - CPR must be an in-person course AND both First Aid and CPR must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.)
  • DMV Printout (A current "K-4" DMV Printout dated within the last 30 days from DMV (Kiosk printout is accepted).)
  • Driver s License Copy (Possession of a valid California Class B License with air brake, passengers, and school bus endorsement.)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) letters of recommendation are required. Each letter must be signed and dated within one (1) year prior to the date the application is submitted. Acceptable signatures include electronic signatures completed through DocuSign or a similar electronic signature platform, or handwritten signatures. Typed signatures will not be accepted.)
