Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- A master's or higher degree from an accredited college/university.
- A valid Standard New Jersey School Business Administrator Certification.
- Certified Qualified Purchasing Agent preferred.
- At least five years of experience serving as a New Jersey School Business Administrator or Assistant School Business Administrator.
- Extensive knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, purchasing, transportation, food services, school plant operations, and facility planning.
- Proven experience leading and managing a referendum process, including strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, adherence to statutory requirements, support of Board and administrative decision-making, and oversight of implementation following voter approval including construction management, RFP process, and bond counsel highly preferred.
- Experience overseeing the District's Workers' Compensation program, collaborating with the insurance broker, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and District procedures.
- Extensive knowledge and experience overseeing the District's health benefit program, collaborating with the insurance broker, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and District procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in federal and state tax and pension laws and regulations, GAAP, and New Jersey school law and regulations, with the ability to ensure full compliance in all financial matters.
Compensation: $150,000-$170,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Benefits: This is a benefits-eligible position. Enrollment in the New Jersey Pension System is subject to term/status of the position.
