    Description

    Who We Are Looking For:

    Are you the School Clinician we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!  

    Bay Cove Academy is a therapeutic day school that specializes in trauma-informed services for students ages 12-22 with complex trauma histories, mental health issues, educational challenges, and/or behavioral difficulties. Bay Cove Academy offers students a supportive environment that addresses their education, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational and behavioral needs. Individual, group, and milieu counseling are provided.
     
    Bay Cove Academy utilizes unique ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency) and BCC (Building Communities of Care) treatment frameworks that focus on building individual capacities for emotion regulation, personal strengths, and healthy relationships. Certified special education teachers provide students with curriculum that is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework.

    Compensation 

    The pay range for this position is $50,000 to $75,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.  This range may be modified in the future. 

    JRI Provides The Training So That: 

    • YOU will work collaboratively with school employees to provide therapeutic special education services to students in a private day school. 
    • YOU will plan and implement individual and group sessions. 
    • YOU will support students as they develop and practice stress management and regulation skills. 
    • YOU will design, develop and implement clinical treatment plans. 
    • YOU will develop and implement IEP social, emotional and behavioral goals for students and participate in IEP meetings. 
    • YOU will provide crisis intervention when needed to students. 
    • YOU will provide case management/communication for students assigned to caseload. 
    • YOU will participate in data collection and analysis. 
    • YOU will model trauma informed care through the ARC and BCC treatment philosophies throughout the school.

    Requirements:   

    • Must be 21 years or older.
    • Must have a minimum of a Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
    • Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) or able to sit for clinical licensure required. We will help you!
    • Must have two years of relevant experience with adolescents. 
    • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of clinical theory and practice. 
    • Experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or treatment program is preferred but not required.
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leadership abilities.
    • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth. 
    • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
