School Committee Clerk

Position Summary The School Committee Clerk serves as the official recording officer for the School Committee, responsible for preparing, documenting, and maintaining accurate records of all meetings. The Clerk ensures compliance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law and public records requirements while supporting efficient and transparent district governance.

Key Responsibilities Attend all School Committee meetings (regular, special, and as needed) Record accurate minutes, including motions, votes, and key discussions Prepare and distribute draft and final minutes in a timely manner Maintain official records, archives, and meeting documentation Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information Understand and assist in preparing and posting meeting notices, agendas, and annual calendar in compliance with Open Meeting Law Understand and assist in coordinating meeting logistics (materials, setup, communication) Understand and assist in developing agendas and assembling meeting packets with the Superintendent-Director Understand and assist in ensuring timely posting of approved minutes and documents on the district website
