School Counselor

This position has been designated as High Needs/Difficult to fill, so it is bonus eligible. Please see the bonus structure below:

First Year of Employment = $1,500 Bonus
Second Year of Employment = $1,500 Bonus
Third Year of Employment = $1,500 Bonus

The professional school counselor is a certified educator trained in school counseling with unique qualifications and skills to address all students' academic, personal, social and college and career development needs. School counselors working with their principals implement comprehensive school counseling program based on district strategic plans and goals, and the Comprehensive School Counseling Model. Professional school counselors serve a vital role in maximizing student achievement. Incorporating leadership, advocacy and collaboration, school counselors promote equity and access to opportunities and rigorous educational experiences for all students. Collaborating with other stakeholders to promote student achievement, school counselors address the needs of all students through prevention, intervention programs, and use counseling standards to create a comprehensive school counseling program.
