About the Role

Hi, School Counselors! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a School Counselor for a contract, school-based position in Waynesville, NC. In this role, you'll support K-12 students by providing counseling services that promote academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and career readiness. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced school counselors and newly licensed professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative school community.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and group counseling to K–12 students

• Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams

• Participate in MTSS, IEP, and Section 504 meetings, as appropriate

• Maintain accurate documentation and student records
   

What We're Looking For

• North Carolina Professional Educator's License in School Counseling (or eligibility to obtain)

• Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• School-based experience preferred, but not required
