School assignments are currently available in the Great Bridge and Deep Creek sections of the city.

School Crossing Guards are paid a minimum of 1.5hrs per post (AM and PM posts) for a total of 3hrs per day for 1 school. Most posts last 45-50 minutes.
Job Description
The purpose of the School Crossing Guard is to provide safety and security to schoolchildren arriving and departing schools. The employee is responsible for controlling traffic, directing children, and monitoring for any hazards. The employee works according to some procedures; decides how and when to do things under general supervision.
This position is required to work in numerous climates/inclement weather.
All uniforms and equipment are provided.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term departmental needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
