School IT Support Summer Intern

IT Summer Intern | June 2026 | $16.60/hour

Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, located on the north side of Chicago, is looking for an IT Summer Intern to roll up their sleeves and do real work — fixing devices, solving problems, and helping keep a busy school’s technology running before the new school year kicks off. You’ll walk away with hands-on experience across iOS, macOS, and Chromebook platforms, and a solid first line on your tech resume.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    •    Inventory, inspect, and clean all student computers
    •    Troubleshoot and perform hardware repair on iOS, macOS, and Chromebook devices
    •    Clean and maintain classroom projectors
    •    Organize and move inventory, mail, and packages
    •    Prepare emergency supply kits for classrooms
    •    Support additional projects as assigned by the Director of Technology

Reports to: Director of Technology


Qualifications:

    •    Interest in technology, IT support, or a related field
    •    Ability to troubleshoot and learn hardware repair skills on the job
    •    Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize
    •    Able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs
    •    Professional demeanor; complies with school policies and procedures

The Details

This is a paid, on-site position at $16.60/hour. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (7 paid hours/day), with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Remote work is not available for this role. While this position is not benefits-eligible, it’s a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world IT experience in a warm, mission-driven school community.
