This will be a M -F school -based hours Schedule for the 23 -24 School Year. No nights, no weekends, no on -call!
<\/p>

Openings are in multiple schools at the Baltimore City public school system
<\/p>

School LPNs have the following advantages:
<\/p>

  • Monday through Friday schedule 7am -5pm
    <\/li>
  • Dayshift (times vary based on bus pick up and drop off)
    <\/li>
  • Weekends off
    <\/li>
  • Federal and State holidays
    <\/li>
  • School breaks (Christmas, Winter break, Spring break, and acknowledge religious holidays)
    <\/li>
  • Inclement weather school closure days off
    <\/li>
  • One on One client care
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • Maintain optimum health and well -being of the student
      <\/li>
    • May be assigned to up to four (4) students at a specific school location
      <\/li>
    • Provides skilled nursing care in various educational/scholastic environments
      <\/li>
    • Attend all in services, school conferences, and required trainings
      <\/li>
    • Confirm student's medical orders that comply with school policies, standards of practice, and all other applicable rules, regulations, and laws
      <\/li>
    • Collaborate with classroom staff and school officials to monitor and develop student goals
      <\/li>
    • Document in the student’s EMR all health services and screenings rendered
      <\/li>
    • Inform appropriate designee/school nurse of any changes or additions to the student’s medical care plan, procedure, medications, or additions necessary to the student’s medical supplies
      <\/li>
    • Maintain confidentiality in adherence to the Maryland Nurse Practice Act
      <\/li>
    • Performs specific treatments and administers medications as necessary
      <\/li>
    • Educates patients and family regarding the patient’s illness
      <\/li>
    • Applies independent emergency measures to counteract adverse developments notifies designee of patient’s condition
      <\/li>
    • Ensures the highest degree of quality care for the client and/or patient
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Requirements to be considered:
      <\/p>

      • Current LPN license
        <\/li>
      • Current CPR/First Aid
        <\/li>
      • pre -employment criminal background,
        <\/li>
      • physical exam (within one year),
        <\/li>
      • Valid TB test
        <\/li><\/ul>
