O''Donnell Middle School has an opening for a 1:1 nurse: "Qualifications: BSN Current MA RN License Basic Life Support 1-3 years experience in pediatrics, community care, or relevant nursing experience 1-3 years of experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, g-tubes BLS certification DESE initial license

Nursing Responsibilities: Collaborate with school nurse/director of nursing and the parents to develop and implement individual health care plan for student assigned. Maintain an accurate health record on student Document health related activities and treatments on daily logs and/or computer based health record program as appropriate. Document administration of medications, treatments, first aid and illness care provided to student Communicate with parents as necessary regarding the health status of student Maintain medical equipment and supplies as appropriate in the classroom per student Individualized healthcare plan (IHC) Collaborate/cooperate with community providers and state agencies to meet the health and social service needs of student. Be a resource to the student, parent, principal and teachers in matters pertaining to health. Identify health and safety hazards in the classroom and advise school Nurse, Director of school nursing and teacher(s). Other duties as assigned by School Nurse, Nurse leader per students IHCP. Provide personal care, assistance and supervision, as needed, for 1:1 students including: dressing and undressing, toileting, including diaper change, grooming, feeding, positioning, transfers: i.e. may include heavy lifting, hygiene
