Job Description / Essential Elements: Print

The School Nurse functions as a member of the school staff in planning, implementing and evaluating the health program. The School Nurse is responsible for completing state mandates including screening, referral and follow-up. The School Nurse provides leadership in interpreting health data as it relates to students, healthful school environment, health education and community issues.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Two recent Letters of Recommendation from Supervisors
• Copy of Transcripts showing four-year degree

Licenses/Certifications Required: Valid School Nurse Credential; Registered Nurse License; BSN; School Audiometrist Certificate; CPR certification, CA Driver s License. (Or willingness to pursue School Nurse Credential and School Audiometrist Certificate.)
