Position Overview:

We are seeking qualified and dedicated School Nurses (RN or LPN) for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This role is responsible for supporting student health and wellness by providing direct care, managing health records, and collaborating with staff and families to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.

Supervision Responsibilities:

May supervise health aides, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), or other support staff as required by school protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
• Current RN license in good standing with the state licensing board
• PA School Nurse Licensure required
• Knowledge of nursing practices, school health protocols, and public health regulations
• Proficiency in health technology and electronic health records
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide emergency care and first aid as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
• Conduct health screenings and ensure compliance with immunization requirements
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
• Monitor the school environment for health and safety risks
• Educate students, families, and staff on health-related topics
• Coordinate care with parents, physicians, and external healthcare providers
• Implement infection control measures in accordance with public health guidelines
• Participate in professional development and stay current with school nursing practices
• Accurately document all health services in compliance with school and state regulations
• Perform additional health-related duties within scope of practice as assigned
