Middletown Township Public Schools is looking for a qualified nurse to promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, faculty and staff; to assist with the teaching of sound health practices. Depending on the credentials of the recommended candidate, this may be a replacement position, a tenure track position, or a Registered Nurse position.

Position available 8/27/2026-6/30/2027

Qualifications:

• NJ School Nurse certificate or NJ Substitute Nurse certificate required
• Demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practice and emergency procedures
• Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education
• Knowledge of community health and social services resources and ability to communicate effectively with nonschool health professionals and social service agencies
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

The Middletown Township School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Terms of Employment:

• Tenure Track Position Salary Range: $60,673 - $126,533 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with experience), Click here for summary of salary and benefits
• Replacement Position Salary Range: $60,073 - $87,073 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with level of education), Click here for summary of salary and benefits
• Registered Nurse Salary Range: $54,000 - $58,000, Click here for summary of salary and benefits
• Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for medical, prescription and dental benefits on the first day of hire.
