Marinette School District is seeking an energetic, passionate and innovative individual to join our team as a 0.69 FTE School Nurse. The position will be responsible for conducting appropriate assessment, planning interventions, conducting evaluations and providing appropriate referrals to assure access and continuity of healthcare for students and staff.

Position Details:
- 190 day contract (175 of which are student-contact days)
- 5.75 hours per day, 28.7 hours per week
- Non-benefit eligible position
Responsibilities:
- Provide and administer direct care to address health and wellness concerns for both students and staff
- Conducts school programs of immunization, physical examination, sight and hearing testing, and growth and development education
- Collaborate with students, parents, staff and stakeholders to provide education and awareness of health concerns and ongoing student needs
- Oversee medication administration, health care procedures and development of health plans
- Connect students and parents with outside community resources, and coordinate referrals to healthcare providers as necessary to address health concerns
- Assess school environment to prevent injury and ensure safety and compliance
- Provide ongoing health education at both individual and classroom levels
- Provide chronic disease management, including maintenance of Individual Health Plans (IHP), 504s and Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
- Provide health advice and health related training for staff in both individual and group settings
- Update policies and practices to reflect emerging health needs
- Oversee school district health-related compliance (i.e. infection control measures, contagious diseases, etc...)
- Maintains up-to-date, cumulative health records on all students and advises on the modification of the educational program to meet the health needs of individual students.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree required (Bachelor''s degree preferred)
- Registered Nurse with appropriate, valid license
