SCHEDULE: 6:30 am - 2:30 p.m. (8 Hours)
Monday through Friday, when school is in session and lunch is
served. Hours may vary with workload.
DUTIES:
Must cook and prepare meals as required by the School Lunch Program using U.S.D.A.
recipes, serve and help with clean up. As Assistant Manager you will be molded into a
Manager. Successful applicant must have the desire to be a cafeteria manager in the
future. Successful applicant will assist the manager with maintaining the kitchen,
storeroom, freezers and refrigerators in a clean and orderly manner. She/he will keep
records as required for state reports. She/he will assist Manager as necessary. Successful
applicant will learn all aspects of the kitchen including ordering food, doing inventory,
filling in production sheets and doing day end work, as well as any other duties assigned
by manager. SHE/HE WILL TAKE OVER IN MANAGERS ABSENCE.

Job requirements:
Cooking experience using institutional recipes as written.
Must have good math skills.
Computer knowledge using excel and word are necessary
Understanding and using the Point of Sale Cashiering System is a plus.
Job also requires fluent English, good communication skills, including writing and reading
abilities, as a successful applicant, you will need to communicate with students, staff, administration
and the public.
Applicant must be able to push, pull or lift items weighing at least 35 pounds.
YOU MUST BE SERV SAFE CERTIFIED OR BE ABLE TO PASS THE TEST WITHIN
YOUR PROBATIONARY PERIOD. You will be required to pass a proficiency test showing
ability to read and convert recipes. You will also be required to attend any job-related
training or meetings as requested by the School Nutrition Director.
