Description

The School District of the Menomonie Area has School Nutrition Worker positions available throughout the district. These are 183-day positions ranging from 3 to 5.75-hours/day, Monday-Friday, over the lunch period on days students are in school. The starting wage is $19.20 per hour with wages, hours and conditions of employment in accordance with the School District of the Menomonie Area Employee Handbook.

Duties include food prep, dishwashing, computer and other duties as needed and require frequent standing; lifting up to 50 pounds; short and long distance walking; reaching; and repetitive motion tasks using hands and arms. Work environment exposures include extreme temperature changes; slippery walking surfaces; variable working surfaces; handling sharp objects. Physical activity can be strenuous and demanding at times. Positions require critical thinking, problem-solving and appropriate decision-making skills. Basic mathematical computation and language usage are necessary skills. New hires must have the ability to report early and stay late when necessary.

These positions work in partnership with the Director, Assistant Director, Production Cooks and other school nutrition workers to support a sound school nutrition program, following federal, state and local guidelines. The school nutrition program is to provide an environment that supports healthy food habits while maintaining program integrity and customer satisfaction. Maintaining ServSafe certification is a requirement of the position. The positions are to begin on August 19, 2026 or as close to that date as possible, with first review of applications to take place on July 31, 2026. EOE.
