Position Overview

As a School Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to support the development of skills necessary for successful participation in the classroom and school environment. You'll play an essential role in helping students improve fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Conducting occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Providing direct and consultative therapy services
• Collaborating with teachers, special education teams, and families
• Recommending adaptive equipment, accommodations, and classroom strategies
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining required documentation
• Supporting students across a variety of educational settings and disability categories

Student Populations

• Opportunities available across all grade levels, PreK–12
• Diverse caseloads including general education, special education, and specialized programs
• Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist License (or eligibility to obtain)
• School-based experience preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of pediatric therapy practices and educational service delivery
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to supporting student growth, independence, and participation
