Job Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Klamath Falls, OR
Shift: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Duration: 36 Weeks
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based assignment in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced therapists and newer graduates looking to grow in a supportive educational environment.
The Occupational Therapist will work with a K-12 caseload, including a small early childhood population, helping students improve functional, developmental, sensory, and motor skills that support academic success and daily activities.
Responsibilities
Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students and early childhood populations
Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, visual motor integration, and classroom participation
Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute therapy goals, progress reports, and recommendations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Educate families and school staff on therapy techniques, accommodations, and adaptive strategies
Promote independence and participation in educational activities and daily routines
Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and educational standards
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required
Active Oregon Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
School-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required
New graduates are encouraged to apply
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
Passion for supporting children’s growth and educational success
Caseload Information
K-12 student population
Small early childhood caseload included
Average caseload ranges from 12–15 students and may increase up to 20 students
