School Occupational Therapist

As a K-12 school-based Occupational Therapist in Illinois, your days will include:

• Evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills as they relate to educational performance.

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals.

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other related service providers to support student success.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of student goals.

• Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and strategies to improve students’ access to their educational environment.

• Maintain detailed documentation and comply with federal, state, and district requirements.

Job Details

• Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting

• Start/End Date: ASAP - June 2027

• Schedule: 20 hours per week, part-time

• Caseload: K-12 students; district-wide/building-based support

• Interview: Virtual

• Work Setting: On-site

Successful Candidates Possess

• An active Illinois Occupational Therapist license (required)

• Professional Educator License (PEL) is not required

• Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)

• The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
