The School of Applied Sciences and Arts within the College of Integrative Arts and Sciences on the Downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for Social Science Faculty Associates for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in Social Science (Sociology, Political Science, or other Social Science courses as needed); prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one-semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of 0.40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.

ASUs School of Applied Sciences and Arts, part of the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, advances experiential and integrative learning, with a focus on applied sciences and mathematics, interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences. Degrees include applied biological sciences with pre-veterinary medicine and pre-dental concentrations - offered at just a handful of universities across the country - as well as a sustainable horticulture concentration. Other degrees include applied military and veteran studies, integrative social science, interdisciplinary studies, and science, technology and society, among others; and certificates in wildlife management and indoor farming.   • Deliver excellent in-class instruction
