This position reports to the Operations Manager in the School of Business and the position is located in Franz Hall 425. The Student Associate works as part of a team to provide professional level assistance and are responsible for supporting the business school staff, faculty, and students. Direct supervision and training are provided. Position will be filled based upon schedule availability regarding office need. Due to the nature of this position, students majoring in Business, Marketing are preferred.

We are currently looking for students to fill the following hours this fall 2026:

Mondays, 1:30-3:30 pm

Thursdays, 1:00-3:30 pm

Fridays, 1:30-3:30 pm

Core Duties

  • Answer all incoming phone calls
  • Greet visitors in a professional manner. You are the first point of contact for the School of Business.
  • Assist faculty and staff with administrative tasks (data entry, copying/scanning, on campus errands, etc.)
  • Distribute mail to faculty/staff
  • Able to maintain confidentiality around sensitive files and documents
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content
  • Attend events and produce live social media content
  • Collaborate with team to create a social media calendar
  • Assist in any ongoing projects as assigned
  • Coordinate effectively with fellow student associates on ongoing projects
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service on phone and in person
  • Professional and positive attitude at all times
  • Detail-oriented and motivated
  • Positive team player
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats
  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Student majoring in business
  • Student majoring in marketing
