The School of International Letters & Cultures (SILC) at ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for the role of Online Spanish Program Coordinator at the rank of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor. We seek a dynamic expert in Applied Linguistics with specific expertise in online curriculum design/teaching and program coordination.
The successful candidate will provide leadership in coordinating the online Spanish programs, including administrative and curriculum development responsibilities, and supporting the Spanish program's expanding asynchronous offerings, such as the MA in Spanish Online. The candidate will also be expected to teach lower and upper-division Spanish courses at all levels (elementary through advanced and master's level) across in-person, hybrid, and asynchronous modalities; hold office hours; and collaborate closely with the Director of Spanish Second Language Acquisition as a member of the coordination team.
This is an in-person, full-time, benefits-eligible appointment made on an academic year basis (August - May). A typical full-time course load is four courses per academic semester but may be adjusted due to program coordination. Subsequent annual renewal is possible contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, the needs of the university, and sufficient enrollment in assigned courses.
Anticipated start date is August 16, 2026, for the academic year 2026-2027.
