As a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT), you help make those things possible.

What You’ll Do (And Why It Matters)
In this role, you’ll help students access learning by building the skills that support everyday school participation:
- Evaluate students’ functional, sensory, motor, and adaptive needs
- Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide both direct therapy and consultative support across school settings
- Support development of fine motor skills, handwriting readiness, sensory regulation, self-care, and executive functioning
- Adapt classroom tools, environments, and materials to improve access and engagement
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress through data collection, documentation, and ongoing evaluation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to meaningful goal development
- Train staff and caregivers on strategies that support student independence and success
What We’re Looking For
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IDEA and special education services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a caseload in a dynamic school environment
- Passion for helping children build independence and confidence
