Duties
School Psychologist-Intermediate School (Grades 3-5) 26-27 School Year (August-June)
Reports To: Assistant Principal of Student Services
Essential Job Functions:
- The ability to work collaboratively with others to optimize student achievement.
- A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities.
- A strong commitment to professional excellence.
A. Systems Support
- Supporting efforts to build a responsive system through MTSS
- Participating in building based and district level MTSS activities
B. Assessment
- Engaging in Data Day activities as part of the a larger MTSS system
- Selecting appropriate assessment instruments
- Conducting assessments appropriately
- Interpreting assessment information accurately
- Screening/referral/evaluation process
- Reporting assessment data in a clear and concise manner
- Providing classroom observations
- Conducting screenings
C. Designing Individualized Educational Programs
- Developing individualized goals and objectives based on assessment results providing long-range student planning
- Fully participating in the IEP process
D. Provision of Direct Services
- Providing consultation and training to staff and parents as needed
- Providing training for parents and staff as needed
- Participating in the development and implementation of mental health preventative strategies
- Demonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques
E. Case Management
- Participating with the building Student Services Team
- Monitoring implementation of student I.E.P.s
- Managing and coordinating required paperwork
Qualifications:
- Master's level school psychologist
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsement in School Psychology (PreK-Age 21)
- Previous experience preferred
Working Conditions:
Full-time position (1.0 FTE) starting August 2026 through June 2027.
FLSA Status: Exempt
