- Preferred: Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology, NV license, experience with IEPs, Reports, Counseling, and all grade levels
- Requirements: Valid School Psychologist certification/license from the Nevada Department of Education (or willingness to obtain), previous experience in a school setting preferred, strong understanding of NV special education regulations and IDEA compliance
Responsibilities:
- Provide essential mental health, behavioral, and academic support to students in educational settings.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, cognitive testing, and behavioral assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Write, review, and implement goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Facilitate and participate in IEP, 504, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) meetings.
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, therapists, and families to ensure students receive services tailored to their individual academic and emotional needs.
- Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and social-skills training to students as needed.
- Work with children across a variety of classroom settings and provide additional psychological services depending on the needs of the student population.
