Qualifications:

NJ School Psychologist Certification

Knowledge of NJDOE Special Education Code

Strong organizational skills, time management, collaborative and professional

Proactive in communicating effectively with various stakeholders including but not limited to staff, parents, students, and administration

Case management experience at the elementary level

Experience with completing learning assessments and writing

Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal and Supervisor of Special Education

Salary: $66,718 - $127,480 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.   • In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers ("employers") are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
