Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
III. Case Manager Services:
a. Will consult with staff members and principals on potential referrals through the Response to Intervention Process.
b. Will schedule, conduct and participate in the following:
c. Will coordinate with staff the process of collecting data needed for case study staffings, screenings, and psychological consultations.
d. Will inform all staff members involved, including the principal and Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Special Services of all IEP conferences at least 10 days in advance.
e. Will complete all staffing papers and place appropriate copies in the District, Manager, and Teacher's Special Education files.
f. Distribute a copy of the IEPs to all teachers who service students.
g. Will review incoming special education student folders and keep and up-to-date account of all special education folders.
h. Will be a district liaison to Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Special Services.
i. Will coordinate all out-of-district staffings as the LEA with non-public schools if assigned to case manage the non-public schools.
j. Will participate in out of district staffings as the LEA if assigned as case manager to an out of district program/programs.
k. If assigned to the district preschool as the case manager, will participate in and assess problems with student's referral for preschool screenings through the use of testing and other diagnostic techniques.
l. Re-evaluations - Will establish a list of all special education students due for re-evaluation for the school year and distribute schedule to service providers for individual students being reevaluated.
m. Will forward all necessary information to parents, other outside agencies when necessary, who are unable to attend the case study and/or IEP meeting.
n. Will forward to the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education the district's copy of all case study staffing reports: Staffing Notices, Eligibility, Psychological, Case Study Packets, etc.
o. Complete the Case Study Evaluation Checklist upon completion of an initial case study or reevaluations.
p. Will coordinate and schedule Annual Reviews for assigned schools.
q. Will provide input to the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Special Services that is beneficial for district programming.
r. Will provide other case manager responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Special Services.
Qualifications
Current PEL (Public Educator License) with endorsement in School Psychology, Type 73. (M.A./M.S. with one-year school psychology internship.)
Salary/Benefits
$49,144 - $60,348. Commensurate with experience.
