    School Psychologist (Dallas, TX)
    Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, school-based
    Employment Type: Contract


    Position Overview
    Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to support students in Dallas, TX for the 2026- 2027 school year.

    This full-time opportunity serves Middle School students in an excellent school district on the north side of Dallas, TX. The district offers a highly supportive environment where school psychologists work closely together to ensure manageable workloads and provide assistance whenever additional support is needed.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services.

    • Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments.

    • Prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams and families.

    • Conduct or participate in ARD committee meetings to assist with placement and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP)

    • Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.

    • Assist in developing behavior intervention plans and evidence-based support strategies.

    • Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and short-term counseling services as appropriate.

    • Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate educational programming and interventions.

    • Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive student outcomes and inclusive learning environments.

    • Participate in professional development and contribute to district-wide initiatives supporting student success.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)

    • Experience providing psychology services in an educational setting.

    • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and report-writing skills.

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
