School Psychologist/Director of Special Education
New Lebanon Local School District is seeking applicants for a dual-role position of School Psychologist and Director of Special Education. This position is ideal for candidates with a school psychologist certification who would like to expand their existing role in special education.
New Lebanon School District has an enrollment of approximately 1150 students housed in three adjacent buildings: Dixie Elementary, Dixie Middle and Dixie High School.
Qualifications
Required: Candidates must have a valid School Psychologist license for the State of Ohio or have the ability to get the license by August 1, 2026. The ability to meet the demands of managing the special education caseload and supporting special education staff in the three district buildings is also a must.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in education and a willingness to seek an alternative educator license if the candidate does not already possess administrative or supervisory certification in Ohio.
Preferred: Candidates who also have an administrative or supervisory certification in the State of Ohio, or who can acquire the license by August 1, 2026, are desired.
The district provides tuition reimbursement and pays for professional development for this position, which would include reimbursement for classes needed to obtain administrative certification.
The Director of Special Education supervises an administrative assistant who supports the Psychologist/Director in communications, filing, and other administrative tasks.
