*** $6,000 Signing Bonus *** Job Title: School Psychologist (Classroom Consultation/Support)Location: Geneva site Pay Range: $55,300 - $69,200 per year**This position is eligible for a $6,000 signing bonus! This bonus is earned and payable as follows: 25% ($1,500) in the pay period following the 6-month anniversary of your employment; 25% ($1,500) in the pay period following the one-year anniversary of your employment; and 50% ($3,000) in the pay period following the two-year anniversary of your employment.** The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time/school year position (37.5 hours per week). Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Evening work may be required as job duties demand. This position follows the school calendar with vacations coinciding with school breaks. Summer 6-week session is included in school year employment. Required Education and Experience 1. NYS Certification as School Psychologist 2. Three years experience, preferably working with young children with developmental disabilities and their families. 3. Experience in early childhood development and family intervention preferred 4. Knowledge of available community resources, including typical preschool programs. 5. Valid NYS drivers license Summary/Objective: The School Psychologist(s) working for either Happiness House and/or CP Rochester, will work collaboratively with the Director of Evaluations and the Childrens Program Director(s) to perform duties as described below. The School Psychologist will work to build rapport with the Preschool Staff so appropriate services are being provided by staff on site. In addition to performing the essential functions of the School Psychologist position, other training opportunities may arise due to the need for staff training. Essential Functions: 1. Imparts agency philosophy of Equal Opportunity, Independence and Realization of Individual Potential to children, families, program staff, and community resources. 2. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy. 3. Provides consultations, in-service, and training to teachers, clinicians, and other staff members as needed. 4. Consults with the classroom teachers and staff in the development and implementation of classroom interventions and behavior plans. 5. Provides consultation and direct observation to all classrooms on a regular basis. 6. Meets on a regular scheduled basis with classroom staff, including general education and special education teachers, to discuss students, behavior documentation/plans, and overall IEP goals. 7. Designs behavior programs as needed for individual children. 8. Oversees implementation of behavior management programs and behavioral philosophy throughout programs. 9. Collaborates with agency specialists to support programming and educational needs of students and staff across agency sites. 10. Provides support and consultation to parents as needed to address developmental milestones and behavioral strategies that may be applicable for the home environment. 11. Supervises student interns and volunteers when appropriate. 12. Meets regularly with Director of Evaluations and Childrens Program Director(s) to discuss child, family, classroom, and department concerns, needs, and strengths. 13.
