Duties
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge and experience of federal and state rules and regulations related to special education services including IDEA, 504 and Child Find activities.
- Apply ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of school psychological services and observe relevant laws and policies that govern practice.
- Use assessment data about the student and his/her environment in developing appropriate interventions.
- Seek and participate in professional associations and learning opportunities for continual improvement.
- Identify and assess the learning development and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups as well as the environmental factors that affect learning.
- Report test data and observations for students who have been referred to assist the IEP team in identifying various disabilities along with helping to determine the need for special education services.
- Coordinate IEP team meetings by serving as the LEA representative when needed. This responsibility may involve scheduling meetings with teachers, specialists and parents, facilitating the communication at the meetings and completing mandated procedures.
- Collaborate/consult with individual teachers regarding learning or behavioral concerns about students. Assist the teacher in establishing behavioral management programs and/or classroom structures to accommodate the learning needs of students.
- Serve as a member of the Student Support Team to review building level data and problem solve through a Multi-Tiered System of Support.
- Lead student team in completion of Functional Behavior Assessment and development of Behavior Intervention Plan.
- Provide direct individual and group counseling services to students who are experiencing academic, social, emotional or behavioral adjustment problems.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and school staff.
- Other responsibilities related to the position as assigned by the building Principal and Director of Student Services.

Qualifications
- Masters degree with valid Illinois PEL and approved program endorsement for School Psychologist.
- Complete required forms and report findings at the Eligibility Review meeting.
- Ability to lead the discussion to determine eligibility for Special Education and Related Services.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Previous experience with elementary age and middle school students is preferred.
Salary, Benefits & Work Schedule
- Work Schedule: Full Time, 183 Day Contract
- Date Positions Available: 2026-2027 School Year
- Salary: Full time salary $80,000, 4.5% TRS contribution.
- Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision benefits, Life Insurance.
