Role and Responsibilities
The District seeks a School Psychologist for Kettle Moraine Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.
The School Psychologist serves as a collaborative member of the student services team and supports students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs. The position works closely with staff, families, and administrators to ensure students receive appropriate interventions, supports, and services in alignment with District expectations and state/federal requirements.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting psych evaluations and reevaluations in compliance with state and federal special education requirements
Participating in IEP team meetings and supporting the development of individualized educational programming
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, counselors, social workers, and families to support student achievement and wellbeing
Assisting with the identification and implementation of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
Supporting problem-solving and intervention teams within a multi-level system of supports (MLSS)
Providing consultation regarding student behavior, mental health, crisis response, and instructional strategies
Assisting with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Supporting transition planning and student-centered programming
Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and compliance timelines
Collaborating with outside agencies and community partners, as appropriate
Participating in professional learning and contributing positively to the school and District culture
Required Education, Experience, and Credentials
Master's degree or Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology required
Must possess or be eligible for Wisconsin DPI certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
Knowledge of special education processes, evaluation procedures, and evidence-based interventions
Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and staff
