SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE

JOB LOCATION: Douglas & Lincoln Elementary Schools

CERTIFICATION: Current WI DPI License - School Psychologist

START DATE: August 24, 2026 - November 18, 2026 (approximately)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties required to perform this position include:

  • Experience in assessment measures, scoring, analyzing, and interpreting assessments;
  • Contributing in the development of initial and re-evaluations of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs);
  • Providing consultation to classroom teachers regarding student behavioral and academic concerns; and
  • Providing individual and small group counseling as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Ability to be student centered;
  • Passion in working with all students;
  • Promote a positive school climate in all interactions with students, staff, and parents;
  • Support all students towards academic, social, behavioral, and emotional success;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in interactions with students, parents, and staff are essential;
  • Ability to work as a member of the district pupil services team;
  • Knowledge/experience with RtI, PBIS, and Culturally Responsive Practices; and

THE COMMUNITY: The Watertown community has 24,000 residents and is located on the Rock River approximately halfway between Madison and Milwaukee, at the junction of Highways 16, 19, and 26.
