School Psychologist
The position of a School Psychologist will be available at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. The deadline for submitting an application is 4:00 pm., May 8, 2026, or until the position is filled.
Primary Purpose: Perform professional psychological work in assessment, behavior management, and counseling for students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems. Assess the psychological and psycho-educational needs of students referred to special education services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in psychology from accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a licensed specialist in School Psychology granted by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of procedures for assessing achievement and intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of psycho-social development
Bilingual preferred
EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under pressure. Frequent sitting, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, pushing/pulling and twisting. Frequent walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension. Regular light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds), occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds or more) and positioning of students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assisting non-ambulatory students. Exposure to biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases. Regular district-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; moderate lifting and carrying.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: 2026-2027 School Year
SALARY: Administrative Pay Grade 103 plus Stipend (yearly) and Signing Bonus (FIRST TWO YEARS ONLY)
