Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Psychologist to provide leave coverage in Redmond, Washington, for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will be divided evenly between an elementary school and a secondary school.

Job Highlights

  • Setting: In-person and school-based

  • Dates: October 7, 2026-May 20, 2027

  • Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday

  • Hours: Up to 7.5 paid hours per day and 37.5 hours per week

  • Required Trainings: Full-day trainings on October 16, 2026, and March 12, 2027

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations

  • Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments

  • Prepare clear and thorough evaluation reports

  • Participate in eligibility, evaluation, and Individualized Education Program meetings

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers

  • Support the development and implementation of appropriate interventions and student supports

  • Assist school teams with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional concerns

  • Provide consultation regarding special education eligibility and programming

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state, federal, and district requirements

  • Coordinate responsibilities and services across both assigned school campuses

Qualifications

  • Master's or educational specialist degree in school psychology

  • Current Washington State license and appropriate school psychologist certification

  • Previous school-based experience preferred

  • Knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and eligibility requirements

  • Strong assessment, report-writing, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage responsibilities effectively across two school sites

  • Ability to work in person at the assigned campuses

  • Availability to attend both required full-day trainings
