Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School is seeking a School Psychologist for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehensive assessment skills, strong collaboration with educators and families, and a deep understanding of child development.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychological assessments for students undergoing initial and re-evaluation processes for special education eligibility. • Collaborate with service providers to determine appropriate assessment batteries. • Ensure compliance with required timelines and associated IEP documentation. • Conduct classroom observations as needed. • Serve as a resource and consultant on mental health, social-emotional development, and behavior management strategies. • Offer recommendations to teachers, parents, and staff regarding academic, behavioral, and emotional supports for students. • Support school counseling staff in developing 504 accommodation plans and curriculum accommodation plans. • Participate actively in department and school meetings, contributing to a positive and collaborative school environment. • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in assessment, intervention, and special education regulations. • Serve on various intervention and support teams, including but not limited to the Student Support Team and Crisis Committee. • Conduct transition planning assessments and develop transition action plans for students receiving special education services. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Special Education Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as a School Psychologist. Strong knowledge of special education laws, eligibility criteria, and assessment procedures. Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and reporting results from a variety of formal and informal assessments. Experience writing IEPs and collaborating in IEP Team meetings. Familiarity with child development and educational psychology. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Computer literacy sufficient to manage data and documentation effectively. Experience working in a high school setting is preferred. Commitment to professional growth.
