Job Requirements.
  • EducationRequirements: Master’s degree in School Psychology (or closely related field) or an equivalent degree required for state school psychologist licensure/certification
  • CertificationsRequirements: State of Illinois School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start); maintain all required school/behavioral health compliance credentials
  • ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of school-based experience supporting students (K-8 and/or high school preferred) using evidence-based interventions; experience with emotional regulation, crisis awareness, and student engagement; documentation and ethical practice
  • OtherRequirements: Strong collaboration skills with teachers, caregivers, coaches, and school staff; ability to apply evidence-based strategies (e.g., CBT-based interventions, goal-setting, imagery, self-talk); awareness of school compliance expectations and student support processes; demonstrated ability to support student outcomes through proactive behavioral/emotional interventions; must be able to work Days (Standard ES Schedule) and complete approximately 37.5 hours/week; background check and school district onboarding requirements may apply; provide documentation of licensure/certification eligibility and readiness for the 2026–2027 school year

JobResponsibilities:
  • Provide school-based psychological services to support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning
  • Conduct counseling and intervention services using evidence-based strategies (e.g., CBT-based approaches, goal-setting, imagery, and self-talk) to support emotional regulation and coping
  • Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, coaches, and school staff to promote student outcomes and implement supportive plans in the school setting
  • Support crisis awareness and respond appropriately to student needs in coordination with school procedures
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and follow ethical and school compliance requirements
