January 20202 6 SCHOOLPSYCHOLOGIST The School Psychologist is part of an interdisciplinary Child Study Team which is responsible for evaluation determination of special education eligibility coordination and development of IEPs for classifiedstudents as well as delivery of related services and program monitoringevaluation.Providesa full rangeof servicesas a memberof the ChildStudyTeamin the identificationand diagnosisof perceptualand learningdisabilitiesand in the prescriptionand delivery of appropriate and effective educational services and programs. Requirements1. Hold a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and a valid New Jersey educational services certificate with a school psychologistendorsement and other appropriate endorsements.2. Administersindividualpsychologicaltests to studentsand evaluatesthe resultsto determine learning emotional and behavioral difficulties.3. Suggests remedial treatment for students diagnosed as having learning difficul ties. 4. Advisesand assistsschoolstaff with the applicationof remedialproceduresin relationto learning difficulties social and emotional adjustment problems of students.5. Assistsstudentsupportand teachingstaff with the developmentof an appropriatelearning climate for students.6. Participatesin all staffingmeetingswith the CST as an equalmemberfor the purposeof determining the eligibility of students for special education programs andor related services.7. Conductsconferenceswith parentsguardiansteachersand administratorsregarding students who are identified as special needs.8. Maintains records on referred students.9. Coordinates the evaluation and re -evaluation process as required by law. 10. Performscase managementdutiesfor assignedstudentsin accordancewith NJ Administrative Code. Details Minimum salary62825 .
