Job Description Summary:
Columbian College is GW's largest and most comprehensive academic unit. It's home to 42 academic departments, three affiliated schools, 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students, 20 research centers, and more than 500 full-time faculty-including Fulbright and Guggenheim scholars, award-winning artists, cutting-edge scientists, and critically acclaimed authors.
This position will be administratively responsible for coordinating, developing, and overseeing sponsored projects overall post-award grant cycle activities. These include complex multi-site projects from a variety of sponsors, federal and non-federal.
The individual will work directly with the Principal Investigators (PIs) and will be expected to function independently, with general oversight from the Manager of Research for Research Administration Pod 1, which supports six academic units*, and in coordination with the Associate Deans for Research, the Finance Directors and other members of the administrative teams within those units, as well as central administration, including the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR).
As a liaison between sponsors, investigators, and campus partners, this role is critical to maintaining effective relationships and responsiveness to the George Washington University, federal, and sponsor policies, regulations, and values.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
