Job Description Summary:
The GW School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) is recruiting for a School Research Administrator to work in a dynamic and growing research environment. This fully remote temporary position focuses on providing research program support for GW Engineering, primarily post-award management and operational support for the SEAS Research Support Team.
GW Engineering excels in research and education in biomedical engineering, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, nanotechnology, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, tissue engineering and bio-materials, just to list a few areas of expertise.
GW Engineering's Research Support Team works closely with faculty to oversee their portfolios. In order to support the school's research activities during a period of overlapping employee leave, we are looking for a School Research Administrator who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong customer service skills with all levels of faculty, students, and staff to join our team.
This position supports the administrative and financial management of sponsored research activities and is not a laboratory research position.
The SRA responsibilities include:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
