Requirement -

  • Active RN License for FL
  • Active BLS

Duties

  • Conduct thorough student health assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols and state regulations.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the school, utilizing CPR, AED operation, and first aid skills.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to develop individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs.
  • Manage immunization records in accordance with state Board of Nursing requirements and health regulations.
  • Provide health education to students and staff on topics such as hygiene, injury prevention, and chronic disease management.
  • Support school-wide health initiatives by coordinating screenings, vaccinations, and health promotion activities.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing policies and State Nursing Practice Acts while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe clinic environment through manual handling procedures and infection control practices.
