School Safety Officer
Duties & Qualifications
We are seeking a vigilant, compassionate, and proactive School Safety Officer to ensure the security and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will balance strong security protocols with a warm, approachable demeanor, serving not only as a protector of the school but also as a positive role model and mentor to our students.

Qualifications
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Education, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of [1-2] years of experience in school safety, security, law enforcement, military, or a related field. Experience working with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for working with youth.
Proficiency with basic computer systems and security technology.
Certifications: Valid state driver's license. Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
Physical: Must be able to actively patrol facilities, respond quickly to incidents, stand/walk/climb stairs for extended periods, lift emergency equipment, work evenings/weekends as needed
Background: Must pass a comprehensive federal and state background check, including fingerprinting, and maintain a clean driving record.
