Position Overview:
Deliver engaging Algebra I and Algebra II instruction to middle and high school students, fostering academic growth and mathematical proficiency.
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards while assessing student progress and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, critical thinking, and academic success.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and school staff to support student achievement and contribute to a strong educational community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred)
Non-certified candidates must have relevant coursework demonstrating subject-matter expertise in mathematics.
1+ years of experience teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level, preferably in an urban school setting
Strong classroom management skills with a collaborative, proactive, and student-centered approach
