Position Overview
Provide specialized instruction and support to students in grades 6–12, adapting lessons and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Develop and implement individualized instructional plans, accommodations, and classroom supports that promote student progress and academic success.
Maintain an active, hands-on presence in the classroom by proactively addressing student needs and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and school staff to support student development and achievement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Valid New York State Special Education Certification
3+ years of special education teaching experience preferred, with experience supporting middle and high school students
