About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Strengthen and encourage meaningfully interactions in children's development through education and counseling; problem solve social and emotional issues and provide support and assistance to students, parents and staff to enable children to reach their full educational potential. Start date: August 24, 2026 (plus new-to-district teacher orientation during the week prior to August 24, 2026)
FTE: 1.0
Contract: 186 days (plus 2 or 3 days of new-to-district orientation, depending on the Department of Teaching & Learning's requirements for this position)
Requirements & Qualifications
Required to hold a baccalaureate or master''s degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education; and be currently licensed in Minnesota to practice as a social worker under the Board of Social Work; job experience preferred.
Salary
Starting salary range = $48,292-$90,967. For more information, please see the Certified Master Contract 2025-2027.
