Job Position: Supervisor Social Worker

Location: Addison, IL

Schedule: Part-Time | Approximately 4-6 Hours Per Month

Pay Rate: Competitive and Negotiable Based on Experience

Position Overview:

Birch Agency is seeking a qualified and experienced Supervisor Social Worker to provide clinical supervision and professional mentorship to two school-based Social Workers serving high school students in the Addison and Carol Stream, Illinois areas.

This position is ideal for an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who is passionate about developing clinicians' skills and supporting high-quality social work services within educational settings. The role requires a combination of in-person and virtual supervision and provides an opportunity to impact both staff development and student outcomes.

Supervision Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical supervision for two school-based Social Workers.

• Conduct a minimum of one hour of supervision weekly, totaling approximately 4-6 hours per month.

• Deliver supervision through a combination of in-person meetings and live virtual sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms.

• Review and support professional practice, documentation, and ethical decision-making.

• Provide guidance on complex student cases and school-based interventions.

• Support Social Workers in maintaining compliance with professional standards and best practices.

Areas of Focus for Supervision:

The Supervisor will provide coaching, consultation, and professional development in the following areas:

• Conducting and interpreting social work assessments

• Writing comprehensive reports and documentation

• Developing and writing effective IEP goals

• Collaborating and communicating with families

• Managing challenging or contentious parent interactions

• Identifying and accessing community resources for students and families

• Discussing and problem-solving specific student cases from Social Workers' active caseloads

• Strengthening clinical skills and intervention strategies within a high school setting

Program Locations:

The two Social Workers currently requiring supervision are located at:

• Carol Stream, IL

• Addison, IL

Both Social Workers provide services to high school-aged students.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) OR LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) license required

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience following licensure

• Experience providing clinical supervision, coaching, or mentoring preferred

• Knowledge of school-based social work practices and educational environments preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and consultation skills

• Ability to provide both in-person and live virtual supervision
