Navra is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to provide maternity leave coverage during the 2026–2027 school year in the Sycamore, IL area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support high school students by promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being within a collaborative school environment.
Assignment Dates: October 1, 2026 – December 15, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
School Setting: High School
Student Caseload: Approximately 35–40 students
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
Active Illinois Social Worker license (as required)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
New graduates are encouraged to apply if they hold a valid Illinois PEL
Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Conduct social developmental assessments and contribute to special education evaluations as needed
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies to develop effective student support plans
Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral support strategies
Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
