Phaxis Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2026–2027 school year in the Wheeling, IL area. We partner with school districts to connect skilled clinicians with meaningful school-based opportunities where they can help students build communication skills and succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You'll Do

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide services that support students' communication development and help them access their educational environment.

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to K–12 students

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Track student progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation

  • Support a wide range of communication needs including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development

What We're Looking For

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Compassionate, student-centered approach

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred

  • Ability to support diverse K–12 caseloads
